Three values are stored in the memory:

Press the MEM button to display the maximum value, the minimum value and the last measured value

respectively.
















4. Battery Replacement


a. the battery symbol (

) is displayed when the batteries need to be replaced (battery voltage < ± 5V).

b. open the battery compartment and remove the old batteries.
c. insert 1 x 9V battery. Faulty installation can permanently damage the device.
d. remove the batteries if the device is not to be used for some time.

6. Use


Attach a small strip of tape to the target surface. Press the MEAS to switch on the tachometer. Select whether to
measure the RPMs (RPM) or the revolutions (REV) with the MODE button. Point the tachometer at the strip of tape
and hold the MEAS button pressed. The

indicator should appear on the display when you point the beam at the

strip of tape.

7. Measuring Tips

Reflective Tape


Cut a square of tape of ± 1cm² and attach it to the target surface.

the piece of tape should never cover more than half of the target area.

a target surface that is reflective of its own accord should be painted black or covered with black tape prior to
applying the tape.

make sure the target surface is smooth and clean when you apply the tape.
