This instruction sheet is for the
installation of the Banks Brake
compressor to its new location.
The relocation of the Banks Brake
compressor is necessary when
installing the Banks High Ram
Intake System. After completing
the compressor relocation
instruction proceed to the Banks
High Ram Intake System owners
manual for additional instructions.
1.
Disconnect both grounds from
driver and passenger side battery.
2.
Remove the stock air box intake
assembly. Refer to Ram-Air Intake
System Owners Manual for removal
instructions.
3.
Locate and disconnect the power
wire from the Banks air compressor
fastened to the bus bar. Remove any
zip ties retaining the power wire. See
Figure 1.
4.
Disconnect the two (2) spade
connectors wires from the compressor
panel. See
Figure 2 for reference.
5.
Disconnect the pneumatic hose
from the air compressor. Release the
pneumatic hose by pressing the quick
release collar towards its body and
pulling the pneumatic hose in the
opposite direction. See
Figure 3.
6.
Remove the air box tray and
attached compressor panel from
engine compartment.
7.
Separate the compressor panel
from the air box tray.
8.
Remove all components attached to
the compressor panel and set aside.
9.
Remove the rubber isolator shown
in Figure 4a from the compressor.
