Note: Leave the remaining (2) rubber
isolator attached to the compressor.

10.

Refer to

Figure 2 to identify

which electric solenoid valve is used.

11.

If the style I electric solenoid is

being used then see

Figure 4a for

reassembly reference. If the style II
electric solenoid is being used then see
Figure 4b for reassembly reference.

12.

Locate the retrofit compressor

panel.

13.

Install the electric solenoid valve

and relay onto the retrofit compressor
panel in their designated locations as
shown in

Figure 4a or Figure 4b.

14.

Install the rubber isolator removed

in

step 9 onto the compressor panel

and finger tighten.

Note: The air compressors ground
terminal will be fastened to this point
in a later step.

15.

Slide the air compressor into the

retrofit compressor panel. Install base
bracket into position to accept the
rubber isolator and fasten nut to air
compressor bracket.

16.

Install air compressor ground

terminal to rubber isolator.

NOTE: Make sure to have the ground
terminal touching the retrofit
compressor panel.

17.

Tighten all nuts to rubber

isolators.

18.

Install the pneumatic hose from

the air compressor to the electric
solenoid as shown in

Figure 4a or 4b.

Trim the hose to fit with a sharp knife
or razor blade. Avoid cutting with
scissors because this can collapse the
hose. If a longer pneumatic hose is
needed then cut off from the
pneumatic hose that leads to the
exhaust brake actuator (this hose will
