Water Temperature Sensor Adapter Installation Instructions

1. Identify the coolant hose where you want to install your water temperature sensor adapter.

Note: You want to install the adapter to the coolant hose that does not have the thermostat connected to

the end of it.

2. Measure the inside diameter of the coolant hose to ensure that you will have no problems installing the sensor

adapter.

Note: It may be necessary to remove one end of the coolant hose to obtain a proper measurement; make

sure engine is cool before taking apart the cooling system.

3. Locate a relatively straight section of the coolant hose and cut it all the way through.

Note: Be sure to have a catch pan under the car to catch any coolant that may spill.

4. Insert the water temperature sensor adapter in between the two cut ends of the hose and securely tighten it into

place
with the supplied clamps.

5. Install the temperature sensor into the adapter making sure it is properly tightened.

Note: Be sure to use Teflon tape on the temperature sensor threads to ensure no leaks occur.

6. Once the adapter and sensor are installed, top off your vehicle’s coolant level and let engine run until it reaches

operating temperature to ensure there are no leaks.
