Have a licensed plumber install the rough-in
plumbing. The shower floor is designed for 2” I.D.
cast-iron (no-hub) or plastic drain pipe. The top of
the rough-in drain pipe should be even with the
bottom flange of the shower floor.

If no-hub, cast-iron drain pipe is used, make sure the
end of the pipe is free of nicks, cuts, or burrs. To ensure
a proper seal, lightly sand the outside of the drain pipe
with emery paper or “0000” steel wool.

Disassemble the floor drain kit.

5.

Rubber caulking gasket (5), caulking nut (6), and
wrench (8) will be installed after the shower floor is
installed.

6.

Apply a bead of silicone caulk around the lip of the
shower floor drain opening to provide a watertight
seal.
