Licenses Remaining
Q03 firmware licenses can be purchased from QTech in bulk. This indicates the total
licenses that have been purchased and the number remaining.
Check this quantity of remaining licenses before heading on-site. The EP1
Dongle will not upgrade the RTU if there are no remaining licenses.
Firmware Upload
QTech can supply Q03 firmware updates quickly via email. In order to do this you will
need to supply QTech with your Dongle Serial Number which is displayed at the
bottom of the software and the Q03 Firmware version and number of license that you
require.
You will receive a file with the file extension .Q19.
When you press the Upload New Firmware button you will be asked to select a .Q19
file. Your new licenses will be applied and the software will begin uploading the Q03
firmware to the Dongle. This may take a few minutes. A progress bar is displayed to
give you an indication of remaining time.
DO NOT disconnect the EP1 Dongle during this time.
Once the upload is complete a success message box is displayed and the Bank and
License information will update to reflect the new state of the Dongle.
Licenses
If you have any licenses remaining at the point of loading new Q03 firmware then
these licenses will be overwritten by the license information in the new Q03 firmware
update.
You will be warned regarding this situation when you press the Upload New
Firmware button and will be prompted to save a licensed file to your computer.
Once the license file is saved the upload process will begin as normal.
The saved license file should be emailed back to QTech.
