6.2 LAN
This section provides instructions on how to install the Intel ® 82547GI LAN
controller drivers.

To install the Intel ® 82547GI LAN controller driver on a Windows ® 2000
Server OS:
1. Restart the computer, then log in with A d m i n i s t r a t o r A d m i n i s t r a t o r A d m i n i s t r a t o r A d m i n i s t r a t o r A d m i n i s t r a t o r privileges.
2. Insert the motherboard/system support CD to the optical drive, or the
LAN controller driver disk to the floppy disk drive.
3. Windows ® automatically detects the LAN controller and displays a
N e w H a r d w a r e F o u n d N e w H a r d w a r e F o u n d N e w H a r d w a r e F o u n d N e w H a r d w a r e F o u n d N e w H a r d w a r e F o u n d window. Click C a n c e l C a n c e l C a n c e l C a n c e l C a n c e l.
4. Right-click the M y C o m p u t e r M y C o m p u t e r M y C o m p u t e r M y C o m p u t e r M y C o m p u t e r icon on the Windows ® desktop , then
select P r o p e r t i e s P r o p e r t i e s P r o p e r t i e s P r o p e r t i e s P r o p e r t i e s from the menu.
5. Click the H a r d w a r e H a r d w a r e H a r d w a r e H a r d w a r e H a r d w a r e tab, then click the D e v i c e M a n a g e r D e v i c e M a n a g e r D e v i c e M a n a g e r D e v i c e M a n a g e r D e v i c e M a n a g e r button to
display the list of devices installed in the system.
6. Right-click the L A N C o n t r o l l e r L A N C o n t r o l l e r L A N C o n t r o l l e r L A N C o n t r o l l e r L A N C o n t r o l l e r item, then select P r o p e r t i e s P r o p e r t i e s P r o p e r t i e s P r o p e r t i e s P r o p e r t i e s.
