Format
Press the
▲▼ button to select Format and press the ► or OK
button to prompt a sub-menu which occurs only when the USB
device is plugged in for the first time, as shown.
WARNING

All data on the connected device will be lost if you
confirm to format.
•
It is strongly recommended that the USB device is
dedicated only for this unit. Various external data contain in the USB device might cause DVR
file system corrupt and requires formatting.
•
Once USB device is formatted, unit will create a unique file system on it. Therefore, it is not
advisable to connect USB device to a computer to export data.
PVR File System Type
The item PVR File System Type is highlighted and press the
◄► button to choose the File System to
be format and press the OK button.
FAT32
This file system is compatible with all computers, so that the disc be read after admission.
Hi Speed FS
This is a proprietary file system, which while browsing speed of the recording is optimized.
Once selected, you can define the partition size that is for the Hi Speed FS file system used. We
recommend a size of 50% of the disk in Hi Speed FS file system. The partition is formatted and
occupied.
After recording the file in the FAT32 partition will be stored so that they can also be read and edited
on a computer.
Time Shift Size
After the disk format is finished, the menu showing Time shift size will appear.
The item Time Shift Size is highlighted, press the
◄► button to choose a size to be allocated for time
shift. The maximum value is 8 GB.
Press the
▼ button to highlight OK and press the OK button to confirm and return.
Speed
Once USB device is checked, this item will display the USB data transfer rate and the remaining
space in it.
The last picture shows the ready USB storage.
