Gel Potting User Instructions
Personal protection measures
Safety glasses should be worn. Otherwise, no other precautions are required.
Substrate preparation
All surfaces should be cleaned, degreased with a suitable solvent and dried prior to potting.
Care should be taken to ensure that all solvent is removed.
Mixing
MJK dielectric gel is supplied in lot matched kits consisting of a part A and a part B in
separate cans.

The two componets should be thoroughly mixed for approximately 2 minutes using a weight
or volume ratio of 1:1 (mix the full contents of both cans for MagFlux
®
IP 68 protection).
Pot life
When the two components are thoroughly mixed in a 1:1 ratio, MJK dielectric gel will have a
working time of about 16 hours at room temperature.
The viscosity of the initial mix will double in about 2 hours at room temperature (pot life).
