Troubleshooting

Reference Information

Solution

1. Check that the MBC cables are
installed correctly.

2. Make sure computer is ON and
MBC cable is properly connected.

3. Change the position of the Input
switch on the Front Panel.

1. Turn Dip Switch #4 OFF.

1. Turn switch #2 ON to remove
Serration Pulses.

2. Turn switch #4 ON to increase
the Vertical Sync pulse width.

3. Adjust Vertical Positioning.

1. Set switch #3 OFF to allow
Auto sync.

1. Turn computer power OFF, set
the appropriate termination switch
(#7 for Input #1 or #8 for Input #2)
ON and re-boot computer.

1. Adjusting the Blue Enhance-
ment knob counterclockwise to
reduce the Blue Enhancement.

1. Set Dip Switch #3 ON and run
separate H&V output to projector
or monitor.

Probable Cause

1. Incorrect Extron
MBC cable being used.

2. Interface is not
receiving a sync signal
from the computer.

3. Input selection
switch is set to wrong
input.

1. Auto Power defeat
Dip Switch #4 is on.

1. Serration Pulses are
not required.

2. Vertical Sync Pulse
width needs to be
wider.

3. Vertical Shift out of
proper alignment.

1. Interface may be
outputting separate
H&V sync.

1. No Termination to
computer video output
before computer is
turned on.

1. Blue Enhancement
adjustment is not in the
correct position.

1. Projection device/
polarity not tracking all
changes of VGA
through composite sync
output.

Problem

Auto Power LED
not illuminating.

Auto Power LED
stays on all the
time.

Video on Data
Display is
hooking, or
bending.

No Vertical Sync.

Computer boots
up black and
white instead of
color.

The Blue Video is
not the correct
shade of blue for
TTL computer
signal.

VGA signal does
not fill screen
between modes.
