I NSTALLATION
6.2 Utility Connection
Verify electrical codes prior to installation. Codes may vary and contain specific
conduit and wire sizes for connection to the AC load center.
Connection to utility power must be approved by the local utility before installing
the power supply.
AC power is brought in through a load center located on the left front side of the enclosure.
Procedure:
1. Locate the AC load center on the inside of the enclosure. Remove the knockout to accept conduit.
2. Install the conduit nipple into the enclosure service entrance and AC load center via the knockout and
secure it in place using the appropriate threaded conduit locknuts.
3. Install conduit outlet body using an appropriate sealing gasket on the outside of enclosure.
4. Locate the screw lug terminals on the AC load center’s circuit breaker assembly.
5. Connect one of the incoming Black #2 AWG wires [a] to the left terminal (L1). Connect the remain-
ing Black (or Red) #2 AWG wire [b] to the right terminal (L2). If the wire at L2 is Black, place red
tape (or label) on it.
6. Connect the #2 AWG White wire to the neutral (N) bus lug located to the top right of the circuit
breaker assembly.
7. Connect the #6 AWG stranded copper ground wire (Earth Ground) to the grounding bar, located in-
side the AC load center.
