6.4 Alarm Terminations
Refer to the documentation package that comes with your power system components.
All Tempest system alarms are connected via a punchdown “66 block” from the local alarm-sending unit.
A system controller can provide a central point for all external alarm lead connections – alarm table to be
provided.
The type of alarm input required by the alarm sending unit determines how the alarm contacts are config-
ured and wired; i.e. form “A”,“B” or “C” wired for ground sending, battery sending, loop closure, loop
open, etc. Some system control panels require jumpers to be moved to configure the alarm contacts as
form “A” or “B”.

The punchdown block also serves to extend the alarm connections.
6.5 Air Conditioner
The air conditioner mounts on the front door of the Te17 enclosure. Refer to the air conditioner manual
for operation and maintenance details. The air conditioner must remain in an upright position at all
times.
