Start-up guide

This section explains briefly how to play with the Electronic Sudoku. It is
recommended to read the complete user guide for detailed instructions and safety
warnings.

Insert 2 AAA batteries (not included) at the back of the console
using a screwdriver. Remove the plastic static label on the LCD
screen display.

4

Press the UP or DOWN key to select a level (1= beginner. 2=
intermediate, 3=expert). Then, press Start to begin the game.

5

The aim of Sudoku is to fill in the grid so that every row, every
column, and every 3x3 square contains the digits 1 through 9. Each
digit can only appear once in a row, column or square. The digits
already provided in the grid cannot be changed; they are marked by
a triangle in the lower right corner of a cell. You have to work
around them. Every puzzle has just one correct solution.

6

When you know which number goes into an empty cell, use the
directional arrow keys to move the cursor (flashing arrow) to that
cell. Enter your answer using the number key pad.

7

Once you have filled every cell with a number, press CHECK. If you
hear a melody and ‘game over’ is displayed; you have won!
Otherwise, go back to the puzzle and, find the row, line or square
in which a number appears more than once.

2

Press the on/off key to turn on the unit.

3

Press the LEFT or RIGHT key to select a game mode (game A =
timer mode; game B = step count mode).
