Setting Console Password
This option sets the IntraSwitch 5212’s Console password. The
Console password is the password needed to access the Local
Management Interface’s Configuration Menu.

Important! The default password is Asante.
To change the current Console password:
1 Type c from the Configuration Menu.
The following command line appears at the bot-
tom of the screen.

2 Type a new password at the “Enter New Pass-
word” prompt.

Important! The password is case sensi-
tive.
The password must be a minimum of one
character and a maximum of 20 characters
in length. The password takes any ASCII
code.
3 Press Return.
4 Type the new password again at the confirma-
tion password prompt.
5 Press Return .
The IntraSwitch 5212’s Console password is
changed.
