The figure on the left shows a typical communications setup for a TFXL, HTTF, or PTTF.

The TFXL, HTTF, and PTTF all use a
standard RS232 com port type.

The TFXD, PE1, TFXP, HTTP, PE3, TFXM,
and PE2 primary communications link uses
the IrDA Actisis 220L infrared
communications adapter. A typical com port
setup for this device would look similar to this.

Once the com port and com port type have
been entered press OK to finalize the
initialization.

The final step would be to close UltraLink and
then re-start the application so the com port
settings can take effect.

One final note. It may be necessary to turn the
computer and the flow meter off and then back
on again after the settings have been changed.

Note: If the com port does not respond to initialization it may be helpful to go into the
device manager and open that particular com port and then close it again. Sometimes the
operating system renders the port inaccessible and opening the port in the device manager

re-sets the port allowing communications to begin again.
