B: Good - satisfactory immersion of the electrode surfaces and good sample flow.
C: Poor - incomplete immersion of the electrodes or incorrect sample flow.

On piping

Immerse the internal electrode completely in the process sample.

Note: In the following illustrations, the arrows indicate the sample flow direction.

Figure 3 Model 8394 sensor mounting example

The 8394 sensor installs perfectly in a Tri-Clover

®

Tri-Clamp

Tee starting from 1.5 inch diameter

(A), and also at a 90° angle starting from 2 inches (B). All Tri-Clamp

Tees are in compliance with

3A standards for CIP (cleaning In place).

In a bypass

Polymetron flow chambers are designed not to retain air bubbles. To facilitate the extraction of
bubbles, use a minimum flow rate of 20 L/h (ideally 60 L/h).

Note: The progressive accumulation of bubbles on the surface of the sensor reduces the active surface, increases
the cell constant, and leads to an abnormally low conductivity measurement.
