DR5000 Pour-Thru Cell Kit Installation

Using the Pour-Thru Cell

Most HACH methods prescribe the use of round cells.

When a pour-thru cell is used, the measurement results of these HACH methods must be
multiplied by a dilution factor of 0.95 or revised with the help of a standard adjustment. The
appropriately revised method can be stored as a user program. If the use of a pour-thru
cell is prescribed in a HACH method, no adjustment is needed.

A pour-thru cell can be used for a HACH method if the prescribed sample volume is 25 ml.

Although the pour-thru cell can be used for the following HACH methods, the cell must be
thoroughly purged with distilled water between individual samples.

The Pour-Thru Cell can also be used to run Nitrogen, Ammonia, Nessler Method and TKN
chemistries. Clean the cell by pouring a few sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate crystals into
the cell. Rinse out the crystals with deionized water.

WARNING:
The pour-through cell cannot be used for the following HACH methods.
