Wait for end of 30-minute warm-up period.

In the warm-up period:

Select luminescent bacteria test and prepare bacteria in

accordance with the work procedure.

Salinate sample and check pH value.

If required, prepare dilution series of the sample.

Further steps on the test preparation and evaluation must be

performed in accordance with the current test work procedure.

Perform test

1.

Possibly switch on automatic color correction.

2.

On the LUMIStox 300 measurement device, select the required

evaluation mode (GL value or EC value) or the used test

(e.g. LCK480).

3.

Enter the required default settings on the LUMIStox 300

measurement device.

4.

Perform test in accordance with work procedure and menu

navigation of the LUMIStox 300.

5.

Read off result.

6.

Seal cell compartment by pressing the End function key.

Cleaning of device and cuvettes

Device

Clean the housing and all accessories only with a soft, damp cloth.
Mild soap solution can also be used.

Allow no water to get into the cell compartment.

Insert no brush and no sharp objects in the cell compartment, to
avoid damage to mechanical components.

Dry the cleaned parts carefully with a soft cotton cloth.

D A N G E R

Some circuits in this device are protected against overvoltages by fuses. For
constant protection against risk of fire, replace these fuses only with fuses of the
same type and power rating.

D A N G E R

Defective fuses generally indicate a problem in the device. If fuse errors repea-
tedly occur, contact the service department for instructions on the
return procedure for repair purposes. Under no circumstances attempt to repair
the device independently.

C A U T I O N

Potential dangers through pinches, burns and chemicals and for the eyes. Before
all cleaning work, always disconnect the device from the power supply.

N O T I C E

Under no circumstances may solvents like turpentine, acetone or similar be used
to clean the device, including the display and accessories.
