APPENDIX B - SUMMARY OF HARDWARE DIFFERENCES
B.6
MODEL A ICN COMMUNICATION MODULE
The Model A ICN module has no 24V dc supply and is replaced by the Model B ICN
module which does have a 24V dc supply.
If only MODCELL instruments with Model A ICN modules are on the network, the
instrument with the lowest ICN module address automatically terminates. This check is
made each time the ICN is restarted.
NOTE:
Whenever the 2001N
multiloop processor is placed out of service (when upper
housing is opened), the lower housing should also be opened to prevent the
Model A ICN circuitry from loading down the ICN and causing communications
problems.
