You ca� set the followi�g:
Shut off : Here you ca� set the time spa�
after which the applia�ce automatically
switches off followi�g the last �ri�k prepara­
tio�� A time betwee� 15 mi�utes a�� 4
hours ca� be set� The �efault time is 1 hour,
but this ca� be shorte�e� to save e�ergy�
Filter : Here you ca� set whether a water
ilter is bei�g use�� If a water ilter is �ot
bei�g use�, tur� the setti�g to No / Old �
If a water ilter is bei�g use�, tur� the set­
ti�g to Activate filter � New water ilters
have to be ri�se� before use (see “Water
ilter” o� page 2�)�
Start Calc‘n‘Clean : The service pro­
grammes ( Calc‘n‘Clean / descaling /
cleaning ) ca� be selecte� ma�ually here�
Press the start butto� (1�) a�� ru� the se­
lecte� programme (see “Service
Programmes” o� page 33)�
Temp. : The brewi�g temperature ( high /
middle / low ) ca� be set here�
Language : The �isplay la�guage ca� be
set here�
Water hardness : The water har��ess
setti�g ca� be a�juste� o� this applia�ce� It
is importa�t to set the water har��ess
correctly, so that the applia�ce i��icates
accurately whe� the �escali�g programme
shoul� be ru�� The factory setti�g for the
water har��ess is 4�
You ca� check the water har��ess usi�g
the e�close� test strip or by aski�g your lo­
cal water supplier�
Dip the test strip briely i� water, ge�tly
shake off a�y �rips, a�� check the result
after o�e mi�ute�
