4.

The existing conduit between the new control unit, two existing junction boxes,
containing field wires, and motor wires is required to operate the restraint.

5.

For door interlock, wire to terminal No. 4 and 4D and remove jumper wire.

6.

Attach existing field wiring as shown in installation drawings for your
POWERHOLD.

7.

Mount driver alert unit as shown on page 5.

8.

Run conduit with field wires between driver alert unit and new control unit.

9.

If dock leveler is equipped with lip-pivot limit switch, rewire as per electrical field
wiring drawing. Dock levelers interlocked with POWERHOLD and equipped with
automatic return to dock proximity switch, will require removal of existing
proximity switch, and installation of new proximity switch.

B4.

NEW POWERHOLD-CP (CENTRA/POWER) INSTALLATION WITH POWERAMP
DOCK LEVELERS.

1.

Refer to drawings in Table A.

2.

Locate control box as shown in illustration on page 5.

3.

A threaded connection is provided in the right hand side of the POWERHOLD
restraint unit next to the junction box access cover for conduit from the control
unit. Field wires are in this conduit.

4.

The conduit between the control unit and the junction box on the pit wall, contains
field wires plus motor wires required to operate the restraint.

5.

For door switch interlock, wire to terminal #4 and 4D and remove jumper wire.

6.

Attach field wiring as shown in installation drawings provided for your
POWERHOLD.

7.

Mount driver alert unit as shown on page 5.

8.

Run conduit with field wires between driver alert unit and control unit.

B5.

NEW POWERHOLD-MS (MULTI-SYSTEM) INSTALLATIONS.

1.

Refer to drawings in Table A.

2.

Locate control box as shown in illustration on page 5.

3.

A threaded connection is provided in the right hand side of the POWERHOLD
restraint unit next to the junction box access cover for conduit from the control
unit. Field wires are in this conduit.

4.

Attach existing field wiring as shown in the illustration drawings provided with
your POWERHOLD.

5.

Mount driver alert unit as shown on page 5.

6.

Run conduit with field wires between driver alert unit and new control unit.

7.

Mount driver alert unit as shown on page 5.

8.

Run conduit with field wires between driver alert unit and control unit.
