Apparent Problem CheckPoint Solution
Cut-off rod fails to heat properly Test the cut off rod. Use procedure
described on page 6. Check Fuse.
Replace if necessary
Hot plate Fails to Heat or Overheats Visually inspect the wire and
connections under the hot plate for
burning and replace if burnt.
Visually inspect the lead on the
heating element for burning and
replace if burnt.
If burning or short circuiting
does not show, replace
the thermostat. If burnt replace
element.
