STEP 4: CABLING

There are buttons, LEDs and ports on the front panel and
rear panel of the ECN-581A chassis. They are:

o

1 x Power LED

o

1 x HDD LED

o

3 x Audio jacks (line-in, line-out, mic-in)

o

1 x Reset button

o

2 x USB ports

o

1 x DB-9 COM port

o

1 x Power input connector

These components are all connected to the motherboard
with cables. To correctly connect these cables, please refer
to the user manual that came with the motherboard. The
chassis cables and the corresponding on-board connectors
are listed below.

STEP 5: DISK DRIVE INSTALLATION


The ECN-581A chassis has the capacity for one 2.5”
internal HDD. To install the HDD, please follow the steps
below.

Step 1:

Remove the SATA cable on the HDD bracket by
removing the two retention screws.

Step 2:

Mount a 2.5” HDD onto the HDD bracket. To do
this, align the four retention screw holes in the
bottom of 2.5” HDD with the retention screw
holes in the HDD bracket.

Step 3:

Insert the four retention screws to secure the
HDD with the bracket.(Figure 8)

Step 4:

Re-install the SATA cable to the rear of the HDD
using the two previously removed screws.

Step 5:

Correctly connect the HDD SATA cable and
SATA power cable from the HDD to the
motherboard. Please refer to the user manual
that came with the motherboard for the connector
locations.

Step 6:

Install the HDD and the bracket into the chassis
with four previously removed retention screws.
