Expansion Auxiliary Input
The diagram below shows the proper way to connect the Hired-Hand family of auxiliary alarm
outputs to the
S 3 Expansion auxiliary inputs. The alarm activates when the connection is broken
between the OUT and IN terminals.
NOTE 1: As long as a path for current flow is present, the Secondary Sensing System is not
activated. Consequently, if one controller alarms, the path will be broken and the
alarm will be activated.
NOTE 2: Remove the jumper between the OUT and IN terminals when installing external
alarm inputs.
