The Basic Calibration Set-up
The general equipment required to perform the calibration is shown
in Fig.12.5. Three different lengths of Teflon tubing are connected to
a “Y”-piece. The tube attached to point 1 is connected to the air-inlet
of the Monitor; the tube attached to point 2 is attached to a gas flow
meter or similar apparatus; and the tube attached to point 3 is at-
tached to the cylinder of gas which is to be used during calibration.
