Serial Numbers
The probe serial number is engraved on the side of the unit. The cap serial number is
programmed on the memory chip inside the cap.
Unpack the Probe
1. Remove the probe from the box and other packaging materials.
2. Unscrew the nose cone from the probe and remove the red protective dust cap from
the sensor. Save the dust cap for later use.

3. Remove the RDO cap from the storage sleeve.
4. Align the arrow on the cap with the index mark on the probe and firmly press the cap
onto the probe, without twisting, until it seals over the probe body.
