6.

Transmit S, for SETUP.

SB1023SS

Or, if the station elevation is 237 meters, transmit:

SB237SUS

7.

The Setra 470 is now in DASI mode and reports barometric pressure reduced to sea

level in response to an INTERROGATION command, indicated by “SEA LEVEL”.

8.

To switch from reporting true barometric pressure to corrected sea level pressure and

back, transmit B, for SEA LEVEL.

You must re-enter the station elevation (steps 1 through 6) if you move the transducer, or shut
off the power.

When you transmit B, for SEA LEVEL, in order to begin reporting pressure corrected to sea
level, the ZERO/TARE value (Section 4.8) is cleared (set to zero) automatically to ensure that
absolute sea level pressure is reported.
