TROUBLESHOOTING
(7) A blank horizontal line appears through
the text in the printed label.
1 Turn off the machine, and then disconnect
the AC adaptor and remove the recharge-
able battery.
2 Open the tape compartment cover, then
remove the tape cassette if one is installed.
The print head and rollers are located in the
tape compartment.
3 Print head: Use a dry cotton swab to gently
wipe up and down along the print head.
Rollers: Use a dry cotton swab to wipe up
and down along each roller while rotating
them with your finger.
4 Install a tape cassette, close the tape com-
partment cover, and then try printing again.
5 If a blank streak still appears in the printed
label, repeat steps 2 through 4 using a
cotton swab dipped in isopropyl (rubbing)
alcohol.
If none of the above works, contact your service
representative.
☞ The print head can be cleaned more easily
if the optional print head cleaning cassette
(TZ-CL6) is used.
☞ The print head can also be cleaned by
pressing
f with no tape cassette installed.
