Smart ThinQ OPERATION
Connecting this appliance to a Wi-Fi network allows you to use its
many connectivity features. The ZigBee modem is used for Smart
Grid connectivity, where available.
• Open the cover by pulling it open at the top (1).
• The left port is larger and is only for the ZigBee modem. The
right port is for the Wi-Fi modem or USB drive.
• Insert the modem into the appropriate port (2).
• Close the cover. When the modems are fully seated, the cover
will close completely (3).
NOTE
y LG Electronics is not responsible for any network
connection problems or any faults, malfunctions, or
errors caused by network connection.
y Network connection may not work properly depending
odn Internet service provider.
y Wireless network can experience interference from
other devices with 2.4 GHz frequency(wireless phone,
Bluetooth device, or microwave oven). Interference may
also be caused by devices with 5 GHz frequency, the
same as any other Wi-Fi devices.
y The surrounding wireless environment can make
wireless network service run slowly.
y Failure to turn off all local home networks may cause
excessive traffic on some devices.
y Invalid settings of network devices (wired/wireless line
sharer, hub) can cause the appliance to operate slowly
or not operate properly. Install the devices correctly
according to the appropriate manual and set network.
y Certain connected features (such as Program Update)
will operate slowly if the Wi-Fi connection strength is
not strong. To improve the Wi-Fi signal strength, it is
recommendedto purchase a Wi-Fi repeater.
