Pairing the Magic Remote Control
y y You must pair the magic remote control with the projector to use it.
y y Pair the magic remote control prior to use as follows:

Turn on the projector and press the

pairing is complete, the pairing completion message is displayed on the projector screen.

If you failed to pair the magic remote control, turn the projector off and on and try pairing again

Re-pairing the Magic Remote Control

The Magic remote control is paired again when you press the

You can also re-pair it by pressing the ꕣ BACK button toward the projector for about
5 seconds. At this point, the Magic remote control is initialized. When the pairing is
complete, the pairing completion message is displayed on the projector screen.
Using the Magic Remote Control

Shake the Magic remote control lightly when there is no pointer dis- Shake the Magic remote control lightly when there is no pointer dis- Shake the Magic remote control lightly when there is no pointer dis-
played on the screen. A pointer will be displayed on the screen.
→ The pointer disappears if the remote controller is not used for a certain
period of time.

When you move the pointer signal transmitter up/down/left/right while pointing it
toward the projector, the pointer moves.
→ If the pointer is not working properly, do not move the magic remote control for about 10
seconds, and then move it again.
NOTE
y y Use the remote control within the specified range (within 10 meters.) You may experience
communication failures when using the device outside the coverage area or if there are ob-
stacles within the coverage area.
y y You may experience communication failures depending on the accessories.
Devices such as a microwave oven and wireless LAN operate in the same frequency band (2.4
GHz) as the Magic remote control. This may cause communication failures.
y y The Magic remote control may become damaged or may malfunction if it is dropped or re-
ceives a heavy impact.
y y Take care not to bump into nearby furniture, electronics or other people when using the Magic
remote control.
