Command reference

This reference section contains detailed descriptions of the Capacity Advisor commands.

Commands available on HP-UX and Microsoft Windows operating systems

The command information included here is specific to HP-UX, though these commands are also
available to run on Windows.

capcustombenchmark(1M)

The

capcustombenchmark(1M)

command configures Capacity Advisor benchmark CPU scaling

to normalize collected data.

capcustombenchmark(4)

The

capcustombenchmark(4)

command provides information on formatting Capacity Advisor

custom benchmark database files.

capovpaextract(1M)

The

capovpaextract(1M)

command exports OVPA system data from a specified managed

node and imports the data into Capacity Advisor.

capprofile(1M)

The

capprofile(1M)

command imports, exports, displays, invalidates and removes Capacity

Advisor data for workloads or systems.

capprofile(4)

The

capprofile(4)

command defines the format of Capacity Advisor data files for import and

export.

Commands available on Microsoft Windows only

capagentlesscfg

capagentlesscfg

command controls advanced settings for agentless data collection, and lists

the systems currently configured for agentless collection. Agentless data collection gathers
data from Microsoft Windows without requiring the installation and configuration of an agent.
Data from this collection method is picked up by HP Capacity Advisor Data Collection Service
for use in capacity planning and in reporting historical resource usage.

cappmpextract(1M)

The

cappmpextract(1M)

command exports HP ICperf system data from the specified managed

system and imports the data into Capacity Advisor.
