Volumes containing extents of Data Retention Utility

NOTE:

A Data Retention Utility extent is a data area in an OPEN-V volume to which a VMA area is set. By
using HP StorageWorks XP RAID Manager library, the Read Only attribute can be set to the extent.
If an extent is set to a volume, VLL and LUSE functions cannot be used for the volume. That is to say,
the volume cannot be combined with other volumes and cannot be divided into multiple volumes. To
use the VLL and LUSE functions for such a volume, you must delete Data Retention Utility extent from
the volume by using HP StorageWorks XP Remote Web Console or XP RAID Manager library.

For more information, see
