RAID Manager

Software used to control volume replication functionality (such as Continuous
Access or Business Copy) by means of commands issued from a host to a storage
system. A command device must be set up in the storage system to enable the
storage system to receive commands from P9000 RAID Manager.
In an open system, Replication Manager uses the P9000 RAID Manager
configuration definition files to modify copy pair configurations and to acquire
configuration information. Copy pair modification processing, such as splitting
and re-synchronizing copy pairs, is executed on the storage system by P9000
RAID Manager.

RCU

refresh

The term

A logical path linking storage systems that is used for remote copying (replication

where HP StorageWorks P9000 for Business Continuity Manager Software
resides. The remote DAD attribute is assigned to the disk configuration definition
file in which the discovered volumes are stored.

Route List

A list that defines the relationship of the connections between the command
devices in storage systems and that indicates the routes of commands issued by
Business Continuity Manager. This list is required for performing operations such
as remote scans by a command device.
