Q. System displays the error message No storage systems logged, when user clicks on the
Virtual Copies tab under HP 3PAR in RMV Plug-in.
A. RMV runs a SCSI command to query the LUNs mapped to the ESXi servers managed by the
current vCenter. HP 3PAR StoreServs are visible in the RMV plug-in only if there are LUNs mapped
from it to the ESXi server. You must ensure that the LUNs are mapped to the ESXi servers connected
to the HP 3PAR StoreServs.
Q. An error, Unhandled error in Silverlight application [ArgNullreference
Exception]

occurs when a Datastore does not have any VMs.

A. Ensure that there is at least one VM attached to the ESXi host. However, if the ESXi host does
not have any existing VMs but only datastores attached to it, then during provisioning Silverlight
will fail, as it assumes that there should be at least one VM attached to an ESXi host.
Q. The vSphere Client displays the error Insufficient information to register
StoreServ pairs. Ensure that all StoreServs involved in Remote Copy
configurations are entered in the Storage Credentials tab

.

A. To register the RC pairs under Remote Copy tab, ensure that the Storage arrays (both source
and target) are added in the Storage Credentials tab.
Q. The vSphere Client displays the error, Unable to connect to HOSTNAME: Port No.
Make sure it is up and running and TCP port 3512 is open

.

A6. A valid port number must be provided in the Recovery Manager TCP port while registering
the Remote Copy pair in the Admin Tool.
