Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SecurityProviders\SCHANNEL

Click Edit
→New→DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Enter SendTrustedIssuerList in Value name, and enter 1 (numeric value one) in Value
data. Close the Registry Editor.
To manually install the SMS certificate on Windows 2012/2012 R2:
1.
Copy the certificate to the VASA installed host.
2.
Right click the certificate and select Install Certificate.
3.
Follow the instructions on the Certificate Import Wizard.
4.
Select Local Machine under Store Location and click Next.
5.
Select Place All the Certificate in the following store in the Certificate Store page and click
Browse.
6.
Select Show physical stores in the Select Certificate Store dialog.
7.
Expand the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tree and select Registry.
8.
Click OK.
9.
The certificate store path appears as follows:
Trusted Root Certification Authorities\Registry
10. Click Next and then click Finish to complete the certificate installation.
NOTE:
In highly scalable set ups, after registering VASA there might be a delay to get and
display all the events.
Extracting and saving certificates
To extract and save certificates on Windows 2003, 2008, 2012/2012 R2:
1.
Click Start
→Run and enter the mmc command.
The Console1 dialog appears.
TIP:
You can also run the mmc command from PowerShell.
2.
Click File
→Add/Remove Snap-in.
The Add or Remove Snap-ins dialog appears.
3.
Select Certificates from Available Snap-ins and click Add.
The Certificate Snap-in dialog appears.
4.
Select Computer account and click Finish.
5.
Save console setting as console1.

Upgrading from a previous version
When upgrading from a previous version, the installer detects whether a previous version is installed
and then either performs a new install or an upgrade. Before upgrading from a previous version,
