Configuring Extended Memory Test

You can configure the system to validate memory during the memory initialization process. If
uncorrectable memory errors are detected, the memory is mapped out and failed DIMMs are
logged to the Integrated Management Log (IML). Enabling this option can result in a significant
increase in the system boot time.

To configure extended memory test:
1.

From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration

→BIOS/Platform Configuration

(RBSU)

→Advanced Options→Advanced System ROM Options→Extended Memory Test and

press Enter.

2.

Select one of the following options:

Enabled

Disabled (default)

3.

Press F10 to save your selection.

Accessing the BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) menu
