c. Obey the Install file ‘INSTPVP’:
i. Set the working volume as $system.zpvp5 (default) or as $vol.subvol (location
where the PVP files have been transferred to in the NonStop).
ii. Issue the command ‘OBEY INSTPVP’

a. Sets the file codes of the objects and obey files
b. Sets the file securities
c. Opens the PVPCONF file in edit mode
User input required to set the following:
i. WVP-PORT
number
ii. PVP port number
iii. License file location
d. Opens the STRTPVP and STOPPVP files in edit mode

i. LISTENER-PROCESS
ii. TCP-PROCESS
iii. ANALYZER-PROCESS
e. Opens the PVPBAMIM file in edit mode

i. Source subvolume (PVP Install Subvolume)

These inputs will help in copying the PVP BAM entries into the
WVP BAM entries.
2-2-4 IPSETUP Option
PVP can be installed using the DSM/SCM tool.
2-2-4-1 Overview
PVP is packaged on a CD as an independent product. To install it on a NonStop server,
proceed as shown in the following section using the product CD:
2-2-4-2 Process
a.
Run the IPSetup program to begin installation, and follow the on-screen prompts to copy
the files to the NonStop system.
b.
Files mentioned in the manual install section are placed into the product Subvolume.
