Configuring the iSCSI target

Configuring the iSCSI target varies by target vendors. For information on how to configure the iSCSI target,

see the documentation provided by the vendor.
To configure the iSCSI target:

1.

Create an iSCSI target.

2.

Create a virtual disk.

3.

Map the virtual disk to the new iSCSI target.

4.

Associate an iSCSI initiator with the iSCSI target.

5.

While configuring the iSCSI target, record this information:

o

Target name

o

Target IQN

o

Target IP address

o

Target TCP port number

o

Target LUN

o

Initiator IQN

o

CHAP ID and secret

Configuring iSCSI boot parameters

Configure the iSCSI boot software for either static or dynamic configuration. For the configuration options

and IPv4 and IPv6 parameters that are available in the General Parameters screen, see "Configuration

)." The availability of IPv6 iSCSI boot is platform and device dependent.
