Probable Cause / Recommended Action

Error Condition

The required program product options might not be installed or an error might
occur on the window that is displayed after clicking the command.

Make sure that all the required program product options are installed. If they
are installed, perform one of the following operations:

Click the Refresh command in the File menu.

Click the Refresh All command in the File menu

Log in to Remote Web Console again.

The commands in the Go menu are
unavailable.

Close all dialog boxes, and then log in to Remote Web Console again.

After dragging and dropping objects
to another location or area, the scroll
bar on that location becomes
unusable.

Click the scroll buttons (

or

) above and below the scroll bar.

The items in a list are not synchronized
with a scroll bar.

Close all dialog boxes, and then log in to Remote Web Console again.

A focus disappears from the edit box.

Log out of Remote Web Console, and then log in again. If this error occurs
before you log in to Remote Web Console, close all dialog boxes and then log
in to Remote Web Console.

The display of the web browser
becomes incorrect because some GUI
items, such as labels and icons, cannot
be downloaded properly.

Log out of Remote Web Console, and then log in again.

The characters are unreadable
because they are overlapped or
garbled.

Click the Refresh command in the File menu.

The characters are garbled in a
window where a tree is displayed.

Close all windows, and then log in to Remote Web Console again.

When you switch windows from one
window to the Remote Web Console
window, the Remote Web Console
window is not redrawn.

Click the Refresh command in the File menu.

Even though you have clicked Apply
to execute the changing settings
operation, the new settings are not
displayed on the Remote Web
Console window.

A Remote Web Console message box other than the dialog box that says
Loading... might be displayed behind this window. Press the Alt key and Tab
key to switch the dialog box.

If the dialog box that says Loading... remains displayed for several hours after
you apply the settings to the storage system, contact HP technical support (see

“Calling HP Technical Support” (page 138)

).

The dialog box that says Loading... is
displayed for a long period of time.

Close all windows, wait until the processing finishes, and then restart Remote
Web Console.

A Remote Web Console window is
forcibly closed while a time-consuming
process, such as LDEV formatting, is
in progress.

Incorrect Display / Disoperation During the Web Browser Operation

Input the URL of the desired SVP in the Trusted sites dialog box of the Internet
Options dialog box. See

“Windows Server 2003/2008 Initial Setup” (page 32)

.

The page is not displayed because of
an Invalid syntax error.

Maintenance / Others

Exit all web browsers on the Remote Web Console computer, and then restart
the browsers. If in doubt, you should exit and restart the browsers.

The program on the SVP is updated.
