To start, stop, or restart the CIFS service from the CLI, use the following command:
ibrix_server –s –t cifs –c {start|stop|restart}
Monitoring CIFS services
The ibrix_cifsmonitor command configures monitoring for the following CIFS services:
•
lwreg
•
dcerpc
•
eventlog
•
lsass
•
lwio
•
netlogin
•
srvsvc
If the monitor finds that a service is not running, it attempts to restart the service. If the service
cannot be restarted, that particular service is not monitored.
The command can be used for the following tasks.
Start the CIFS monitoring daemon and enable monitoring:
ibrix_cifsmonitor –m [–h HOSTLIST]
Display the health status of the CIFS services:
ibrix_cifsmonitor –l
The command output reports status as follows:
Condition
Health Status
All monitored CIFS services are up and running
Up
The lwio service is running but one or more of the other services are down
Degraded
The lwio service is down and one or more of the other services are down
Down
