After a run configuration is created and saved, it can be used to run applications without changing
information in the run configuration.

The following sections describe:

“Creating a run configuration” (page 87)

“Launching an application using a saved run configuration” (page 90)

Creating a run configuration

To create a run configuration, perform the following steps from the NonStop Development
perspective:

1.

Select Run Configurations... from the Run menu of the main menu bar to open the Run
Configurations dialog.

2.

Double-click NonStop Application in the list of run configuration types on the left side of the
dialog (or select NonStop Application and then select New from the context menu). This will
create a new run configuration on the right that has tabbed pages named Main, Arguments,
Environment, and Common (see

Figure 39 (page 87)

).

3.

In the Name: field above the tabbed pages, enter a name for your new run configuration (or
leave the default, New_configuration).

4.

In the Main tabbed page:
a.

Select the launch type (Guardian or OSS).

b.

Enter the name of an NSDEE project in the NonStop project: field (or select Browse.. to
select from a list of NSDEE projects).

c.

Select a system from the NonStop system: combo box. (Select Edit.. to open Network
Configurations preferences to add a connection configuration.)
