iLO

Integrated Lights Out. HP's embedded server management technology enabling you to perform
management activities on an HP server from a remote location.

OA

Onboard Administrator. Firmware for both local and remote administration of HP BladeSystems.

RHEV

Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization. An enterprise virtualization product produced by Red Hat.

RHEV-M

Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Management Console. The Red Hat Enterprise virtualization
management tool for managing Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization software.

SSO

Single-Sign-On. The functionality that allows you to logon to a system without entering a user-id
and password every time.

UID

Unit Identification light. The blue UID light is used as a means of locating a specific computer
server in a server room or in a rack in a data center. When you logon to the iLO remote
management port of a ProLiant server, the UID will blink on and off.

VC

Virtual Connect. An HP Virtualization technology that enables administrators to define a server
connection profile for each blade server bay before the server is installed. The “Virtual Connect”
will link to the proper Virtual Connect Manager for the VC domain, but you must supply the proper
credentials.
