Item

The time when an encryption key is created. If encryption-compliant DKAs are not
mounted or if an encryption key is not created, this column will show a hyphen (-).

Date of creation

The number of times that a backup of an encryption key is created. If
encryption-compliant DKAs are not mounted, this column will show a hyphen (-).

Creation Count

The number of times that a backup of an encryption key is created. If
encryption-compliant DKAs are not mounted, this column will show a hyphen (-).

Backup Count

The operation to perform.

Backup: The encryption key backup will start.

Restore: The encryption key restore will start.

By default, Backup is selected. If Restore is clicked, the fields for Password, Re-enter
Password
, and File Name are cleared.

Operation

Enter the password required for the backup or restore of the encryption key. It is
mandatory to enter a password.
The characters available for the password are numbers (0 to 9), lower-case alphabet
(a to z), and 32 kinds of symbols (i.e. ! " # $ % & ' ( ) * + - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] ^ _
` { | } ~). A password must be at least 6 characters in length and up to 255.

Re-enter the password that you entered in Password.
It is mandatory to enter a password.

Re-enter Password

Provide the file name and the file path of the encryption key.

File Name

Click Browse to open the window for selecting the encryption key file.
The extension of the encryption key file is .ekf. In the window for selecting the
encryption key file, only files with the extension .ekf are available for selecting.
If an encryption key is selected, the file name and the file path of the selected encryption
key are shown in File Name

VLL window

If DKA Encryption License Key is installed, you can specify the volume whose data to encrypt, by the
parity group, by clicking Encryption in the VLL window.

To open the VLL window, in the menu of the Remote Web Console main window, click Start, LUN
Expansion/VLL
, and then click Virtual LVI/LUN (VLL).
