1.2 IN-USE NOTICES

• Disconnect the power cord before connecting or disconnecting any components.

• If the product was transported or stored in the cold, let it warm to room temperature before use.

• Do not remove the top cover.

• Do not modify the product.

1.3 RACK-MOUNTING NOTES

• A Torx T15 screwdriver is needed to replace standard handles with rack-mount type. To unfasten a handle, remove the three screws holding

it to the side of the chassis.

• To remove feet use a Torx T20 screwdriver. Do not remove the silicone pads from the chassis. These are exposed once feet are removed.

Their purpose is to allow one M1 to easily slide on another when rackmounting or unmounting, preventing metal-to-metal contact that can
ruin the finish.

• Where multiple M1 amplifiers will be stacked on one another for a multichannel installation it is recommended, though not required, that

the three front channel amplifiers be separated by surround channel amplifiers to distribute heat more evenly. Since the center channel
generates the most heat in a typical theater system, installing it at the top of the stack is also recommended.

• If it is expected that any number of adjacent M1 amplifiers will operate at just below clipping level (i.e. full output) continuously for more

than one hour then it is recommended that they be separated with some rack space, not stacked directly on one another.
