1. Product overview
The selection of boring bar material has a big impact on
achieving the best production economy:
• Overhangs up to 10 x dm
m
are usually solved by
applying a steel dampened boring bar to accomplish a
sufficient process.
• Overhangs over 10 x dm
m
require a carbide reinforced
dampened boring bar in order to reduce radial deflec-
tion and vibration.
