7 Switching on and off
Before connecting the appliance:
• check that the material supplied corresponds to the specifications indicated on the data plate, following the
chapter Identification data
• check that the video distributor VD18T1 and the other components of the installation are closed in order to
avoid direct contact with energized parts.
• make sure that all the parts are fixed in a solid and reliable way
• check that the electrical capacity and the connection cables will support the system power consumption
SWITCHING ON : plug the power supply and connect the relevant jack to the video distributor
connector VD18T1 marked with 12VDC.
SWITCHING OFF : unplug the external power supply and disconnect the jack from the video distributor.
8 Maintenance
The video distributor VD18T1 does not need a special maintenance.
Make sure it always rests on a solid base, and that the power supply and connection cables do not hinder the
operator.
9 Problem solution
Even if the video distributor VD18T1 is very easy to use, some problems may arise during installation or use.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY
At the switching on, the pilot light
does not turn on • Power supply not connected • Check the external power supply
is plugged and the relevant jack
properly plugged to the video
distributor connector
The images don’t appear in the
monitor • Inversion of the input cable with
one of the output cables
• The connection cables are
damaged
• Check the video input is
connected to the BNC market
with Video Input and the output
cables are connected to Video
outputs 1-8
• Replace the damaged connecting
cables
