MagnePrint

MagnePrint is a card authentication technology
which allows any magnetic stripe card to be
recognized as a unique and non-reproducible
security token. MagnePrint is able to detect cards
that have been illegally reproduced (“skimmed”)
as well as cards that have had their data re-
encoded or magnetically altered. The term itself
is derived from the following expressions:
“Magne” as in magnetic and “Print” as in
fingerprint.

MagneSafe 2.0, a method of encrypting data while
preserving the essential format of the unencrypted
data, such as length and character set.
