Multi-tap modes
Multi-tap mode is indicated by the following icons in the upper
right corner of the display.
ABC - Uppercase only. Any letters that you enter will be in
uppercase, or all capital letters.
ABC - Initial caps. Only the first word of each sentence is in
capital letters.
abc - Lowercase. Any words that you enter will be in lower
case letters.
• To cycle through multi-tap modes, briefly press
while using multi-tap.
Enter symbols, spaces, and punctuation in T9
• Press and hold until a pop-up menu appears in the
display. Use the navigation key to highlight the symbol or
punctuation to insert into your message, then press the
left soft key ( ) Done . The selected symbol or
punctuation appears in the display.
• Briefly press whenever you want to enter a space
after a letter or word.
Enter numbers
1. Press and hold until 123 appears in the upper right
corner of the display.
2. Enter numbers using the alpha-numeric keypad.
