Using T9 Mode
Section 5
For example, to enter a word using T9 predictive text,
follow these steps:
1. In standby mode, press the Menu (left) soft key ( ),
then press (Messages) and (Send New Msg)
to compose a new text message.
2. Enter the phone number of the recipient, then press .
The Messages text entry screen appears in the display.
3. If the text entry mode (lower right hand corner) is not T9
Word, then press the Option (left) soft key ( ). A pop-
up menu containing the following options appears in the
display:
• T9 WORD / ABC / Symbol / 123
• Quick Text
ABC is highlighted.
Use the left and right navigation keys to display T9
WORD, then press
.
4. Enter the word “Samsung” into your message by
pressing each of the following keys only once:
S A M S U N G
T9 Word recognizes the most commonly used word for
the numeric sequence 7267864 is “Samsung.”
If more than one word shares the same numeric
sequence, use the
key to scroll through other
available words.
