press , to compose a new text message.
2. Enter the phone number of the recipient, then press

3. Press the left soft key ( ) Option to display a pop-up
menu containing the following options

2 Text Format
3 Add Media
4 Canned Msg
4. 1 ABC is highlighted. Use the navigation left/right keys to
display T9 Word, then press
.
• Now, for practice, enter the word “Samsung” into your
message by pressing each of the following keys only
once:

S A M S U N G
T9 Word recognizes that the most commonly used word for
the numeric sequence you just entered is “Samsung.” If more
than one word shares the same numeric sequence, T9 Word
provides the most commonly used word. Press
to
display other words, if available.
123 mode
Enter numbers into a text message while in number mode
(123). See “Change text entry modes” on page 59 for
instructions on changing text entry modes.
• While in 123 mode, press the key containing the
corresponding number that you wish to insert into
your message.
